Experience

• For over 15 years Herman has successfully helped to turn around the lives of many disaffected young people at risk of exclusions from school, underachievers and risky lifestyles.
• RAMP® has been given the seal of approval by Ofsted as: “High quality”, affirmed by a Grade 1. heavily contributing to Care, Support and Guidance Personal Development. Feb 2008
• As Director at Hamstead Hall Community Learning Centre (HHCLC) Herman recruits, trains and leads the most promising mentors from the community as well as ex-students.
• Herman has featured on Hamstead Hall’s extended Senior Leaders Team and sits on the Curriculum Leaders Forum
• Herman has led the way with the innovative business & education partnership programme at Hamstead Hall for the high profile company Ernst & Young; training their employees to participate in mentoring young people to inspire their aspirations.

Exposure

• Herman has spoken extensively before numerous Local Government Authorities including Bristol, Leeds, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Coventry. As a keynote speaker in numerous conferences facilitated by Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and Leading Edge his wealth of experience continues to grow.
• Herman’s work with targeted community groups contributed significantly towards the HHCLC being awarded the ‘Black Boys Can’ National School of the Year Award 2006
• Commissioned by First Class Youth Direct Herman became an educational advisor and strategist on the nationally recognised Birmingham Edge Learner Forum project.
• He is in the newly formed National College of School Leaders (NCSL) Policy Consultation group
• He has worked closely with adult and young offenders to empower, motivate and spark their hope by way of sharing his own personal story of success.
